+Ashley Griffin the medical examiner wasn't reliable, they proved alot of what she had said not to be true. Dr.Lee for the defense is outstanding his work speaks for its self. The man is for sure different, and a what I believe a Narcissist, if he did it the Police, medical examiner, blood spatter export, for sure did so many unprofessional thing's that made me feel like he was innocent.
Nehemiah Elmore 18 hours ago
She had flip flops on it says that in the documentary.

Just curious. I thought you guys said she went inside to go to sleep because she had a conference call In the morning. If that was the case maybe he wouldn't expect her back. But i do still think he's guilty.

He injuries are sufficient with the amount of blood. If you cut your head it bleeds soooo much and very quickly so the amount of blood was deffo caused because of her head insjuries

I believe the owl theory
Alexis Guffey 12 days ago
what if michael put the feathers and pine needles in Kathleen's hand to make it look as if an owl attacked her?
Kathleen Castle 14 days ago
What if she lost her center of gravity and fell backwards walking/running up the stairs, hit the back of her head, but instead of her body flipping over or tumbling all around, it simply slid straight down, so only her head kept hitting the stairs? That would have definitely damaged the neck, especially with the added weight of her body pushing down on her fragile head. That makes sense with the position of her body, and the injuries on the back of her arms. Expectations aren’t always what you get. He may have done it but there is doubt. Maybe he thought she was breathing out of hope or what not. and maybe he touched his bloody hands inside of his pants.
Kathleen Castle 14 days ago
What a stupid question how many stairs. what? 911 drives me crazy with their stupid questions
Kathleen Castle 14 days ago
I heard she showed signs that she had been dead a while and couldn’t possibly have still been breathing. Is that not correct? Like rigor mortis not just dried blood. The blood could be that he didn’t find her immediately
Kathleen Castle 14 days ago
A person very easily could fall backwards walking up the stairs. Once you’ve lost your center of gravity, that’s it. The blood spatter resembled other falls down stairs. The head wounds could have resulted from multiple blows to the head from the stairs
Sharon Fields 16 days ago
You have to remember that they were another generation of people. They grew up in the time of racism no same sex relationships, out in the open. I'm sure Kathleen was hurt if she felt betrayed and was going to out him. He probably felt anger and humiliation. Now, no one cares who has sex with whom. It's 2018. Just the difference in generations.

Our stairs are very narrow and very steep. We often fall up and down and have been known to be walking up, lose our balance and feel ourselves falling back but have been able to correct ourselves or grab the hand rail to stop ourselves and we’re 2 people in our early 20’s. How would this be for someone in later years?

I guess if you where at the top of the stairs and step on something like a skateboard of a piece of cloth you could slip backward, I've fallen down my stairs and other people stairs a lot of times because I'm very clumsy or because I was fucking around and just decided to go downstairs wearing rollerblades, nothing to big ever happened to me, at the very least some bruises and cuts that's because when you fall your instinct is to sit and not to lay down avoiding your head to hit the steps or as you said to fall on your hands

I think he saw the owl attack her himself but figured no one would ever believe him so he just decided to roll the dice with the fall story
Bojana Kristina 1 month ago
I really do believe that he is guilty. But WHAT IF the previosly mentioned owl attacked her while she was outside, and then she came into the house, started going up the stairs and then fell? That could maybe explain the bleeding and the blood on the walls. (Sorry for bad english, it's not my first language).
xercesawake 1 month ago
First episode, my initial reaction was that he absolutely did it. That’s so much blood. Then as it went on I definitely had doubts. As strange as there being two deaths at the bottom of a set of stairs in this mans lifetime, I think that alone doesn’t mean that he has some kind of modus operandi. After finishing the series, I am just haunted by it. I really don’t know if he did it or not. I think he showed that he was perfectly able to disassociate from reality at times. I think he could have killed her but is able to completely disassociate from the person in him that did do this to his wife. I think once I reached the episode where he tried to explain what happened that night, and it didn’t make much sense, and finding out that he lied during the trial about his wife knowing he was bi, I looked at him differently. I had serious doubt about his guilt through most of the series but now I have serious doubt about his innocence.

When it comes to falling down the stairs and having a lot of blood the head is very venous and the smallest cut can bleed a pint. I think Micheal did it but the amount of blood probably could come from a fall.

I watched the netflix documentary. Todd gave me a weird vibe, I wish they would have talked about him more. Also, I had the thought, what if his daughters were actually biologically his. Maybe he had an affair with their mom? Maybe that's motive for the mothers death. Sorry if that all was covered already, just some wild thoughts

The thing that makes me feel like he is guilty is the shoe print on the back of her pants. it seems like he either help her down while he hit her, or he kicked her down the stairs, something. I feel like you guys didn't touch on that bit much.

I think she was going inside to go to bed, and an owl came down and attacked her. The lacerations on her head could be form the owls claws. She went inside and tried to go upstairs but fell down and passed out and that’s how she died. Just my opinion. I have seen articles that said the neighbors know of owls that are around that area and have attacked people before. Look into this theory it’s very interesting!

I legit can't see it any other way, I totally believe that he's fucking guilty. Honestly, I do feel there's enough evidence to prove him guilty in the court of law when you dig deeper, like in this podcast. Either way, the justice system is messed up.

momma sed 2 months ago
So my experience was nowhere near Kathleens obviously but I was assaulted with a firepoker by a boyfriend when I was 14. It was just 1 wack to the back of my head and required 17 staples. I had a subdermal hematoma and fracture to my skull. He punched me in the forehead first then in an effort to save my teeth and nose I instinctively dropped, turned on my belly and buried my face between the floor and the fireplace(corner). He delivered 1 strike to the back of my head. When i came to I was covered from HEAD TO TOE in blood. It was pouring out of me and in a matter of minutes it had soaked thru my shirt and jeans 90%. I was amazed at how much blood there was and thought I was literally dying. Your head does bleed a tremendous amount because of the blood vessels AND it sprays at first it seemed like. Looking at pictures of her injures and given that I only had one the wounds look very similar. Mine even curves a little too. I dont think that he used the blow poker but maybe a regular firepoker. Jmo but I couldnt help to see the similarities of the injuries and what the room looked like in my case compared to the staircase. What I cannot understand that of she was hit struck like me there wouldn't be ANY hematomas of fractures. Very strange, too bad the police messed everything up by being shady. I really hope he doesnt hurt anyone else if he is guilty 😔

I believe he's guilty as hell! I've seen someone fall down a wooden , hard staircase without socks on their feet and backwards with about ten steps onto a tiled floor , and NOTHING happened to that person, no blood , no injuries. A little bit of crying after and a huge shock , but I could NEVER foresee anything like what happened here as being a fall down a staircase.

Super late watching this but around the 25 minute mark you guys say that he said his wife went to bed because she had conference call the next morning. But then you guys freaked out because he was outside smoking when his wife didn’t come back? And said she was supposed to come back from getting s drink? But I thought she went to bed at that point. And know there’s a lot of info & you guys get sidetrack sometimes. But I’m assuming he was outside and she was “sleeping”. Now we all know he was lying either way but based on his story he wouldn’t have been expecting her to come back out to join him.
Richelle Wilkerson 2 months ago
I honestly think her killed the first lady and got away with it so he thought he'd get away with it again. I've never seen those kind of wounds from a fall, TWICE!! My mom fell from the very top to the bottom of our wooden steps and only cut her hand. I just can't get over how much blood was at both scenes and that the wounds were practically identical! Come on!😠😠😠

I mean, idk where they were when Kathleen was killed or passed away. but I mean. gotta think about that. lol
Kennedy Lake 2 months ago
Since the blood on the floor doesn't indicate major movement/smearing then that could mean once kathleen found out about his relations, the convo got heated (at this point I would like to say he may have attacked her and they tussled and somehow that's how her hair got in her hands and the bruise on her lower leg) and he grabbed the first thing that was in reach (blow poke) and hit her obviously a few times. Shes Lying on the floor in front of him and he panics and he knows it wont look good if the police find her this way. He knows he will be the main suspect so the best way he could think to make it seem like an accident is by making it look like she fell down the steps that was the best option. From about 12:15 am - 2:20 am he spends his time staging this accident (which would be more than enough time to wash clothes or go to the sink that would explain the bloody footprints later exposed by the black light) he even plans out everything he is going to say on the 911 phone call which is why the phone call sounds so staged. This is not a average fall down the steps there are so many things in this case that throw me off. I do not at all understand the feathers or the blow poke just appearing out of no where. But with all this being said I absolutely 100% believe he had something to do with the other females death on the stairs. I believe he was in some type of argument/altercation with her and reacted the same way and handled it the same way and he figured 'if I could get off with it then I can get off with it again'.and he did. That man is guilty. I'm not buying any of the shit. Period.

The fact that the defense team is shown discussing whether to use the fall down the stairs theory or the stranger in the house theory is an admission of guilt. If they knew he was innocent they would go with his explanation and not even discuss a different theory for defense. She didn't fall down the stairs and she wasn't attacked by an intruder with a weapon. The reason there was no weapon found and there isn't cast off blood from a weapon being swung is because the stairs ARE the weapon. He was probably chasing her up the stairs, caught her half-way up and dragged her down and bludgeoned her to death by sitting on top of her smashing her into the stairs. That would also explain the lacerations on her head and prove she didn't get them falling down the stairs. There is absolutely NO WAY someone could get those lacerations from a normal fall down the stairs. Head wounds cause profuse bleeding and the only way those wounds could happen on the very top and back of her skull would be the way I described above. Guilty.
Tech fanatic 2 months ago
You guys need to go go back and watch the show again. He said that she was going to go in and go to bed because of the conference call in the morming. She was never going to come back out. And he said that he hung out by the pool for awhile when he came in and saw her laying there he did immediately call the police. And she could have been taking her last breathe when he came in the house not everybody dies automatically when they have lacerations, they said she bled to death.

I believe he is guilty in both cases. He had money to pay for experts that I'm sure he thought would get him off.the experts did embarrass themselves.but the defense attorney was that good.he made fools of them.OK.but my bottom line is.that was trauma from a beating.that's why so much blood.you don't get lacerations from bumping your head.or the cast off blood.the position of the body.the time lapse before calling 911.and.the sketchy way he sounded in the call.if he didn't see her fall why did he answer the question.with a number at all.I would have said.I don't know.I didn't see her fall.that's just my armchair opinion.great job.I'm glad I discovered you two.
Magaly 2 months ago
I’m confused on how they think people can’t fall backwards. I’m constantly almost falling backwards on steps. I fell backwards once and caught myself with the back of my arm and swung facing forward. It was dramatic and I literally fell down two steps. Idk if he’s innocent or guilty though. The prosecutors did a terrible job in my opinion. I know the docuseries was bias but the sucky prosecutors didn’t help at all.

Just from seeing the crime scene photos there’s literally no way this wasn’t murder. His bloody footprints are on her fucking body. I don’t see how this is even remotely a question?!? Like it’s kind of infuriating to me that this is even a debate. LOOK AT THE BLOOD SPATTER!! It always tells you pretty much EVERYTHING about how the crime occurred. She was pushed down the stairs and hit on the back of the head repeatedly when she landed, or cornered in the alcove of the stairs.

I’m not too far into this but just by the way she fell I was thinking maybe she got to the top of the stairs and something scared her, she could have just jumped back and fell down the stairs that way. Honestly I could see it happening just because when I’m scared my first instinct is to sort of jump back and hide or try and run away. Maybe he scared her on accident or even on purpose. I don’t know just a theory

12:20 I see a hooded shadow figure down the stairs ? Or is it an optical illusion, with a long pointed hat. And how is the mirror able to capture that part , it's facing the yellow wall and way too far up, and that black cat. seriously guys this photo is creepy

When I first watched the Staircause docuseries, I didnt finish it, but I felt that they never even went outside? Especially if all the wine was set up in the kitchen both glasses just next to each other. That would make no sense. Was there not a way to test his close to even prove he smoked his pipe? I'm having a very hard time believing they went outside.

I’m not sure on his guilt. That owl theory seems to have more evidence than that Michael did it. But whether he did it or not he did not get a fair trial and shouldn’t have been convicted based on actual evidence
