There is a difference between making computers and selling them. And also huge difference between a maker and a visionary man. That’s why Steve Jobs is important. he bought the cut throat competition coz of which we are enjoying the latest technology.
Naveen Chhibber 22 days ago
I don't understand one thing why Wozniak leave apple. when Steve jobs left apple before her death.why would select Tim cook of ceo of Apple. why not Wozniak. Wozniak better technical compare Tim. Thats not fare at all and he deserved it. Shame on apple team and company

Legend. Period.
Hank Kingsley 25 days ago
8 holes vs 5 holes isn't _artistically important, it's _autistically_ important. And to rip up a design and start over is just stupid when you can sell the first one and come out with the second, and sell it again. Not sure whether woz or jobs was more autistic.
Seth Luitjohan 4 days ago
Hank Kingsley I think it was more about the kind of work ethic and perfectionism he wanted to carry out, he said in the video he didn’t care as much for the money.

This is the REAL STEVE who brought Apple today

a lot of people saying jobs dont deserve it.well look guys.woz only wanted it for himself.but jobs had a vision of taking it on the world.which ofcourse created wealth and jobs too.apple employs so many people.so think before you say anything.steve jobs has got what he deserves.and about woz.he dint want any of it.so whats the deal?
Maxi 24 days ago
Well Wozinak as well as the People from AT&T Bell labs had the dream about a computer for everyone. That's where the revolution starts.

note also something that wozniak will never mention. steve jobs screwed him over out of the first check that he cashed for himself and never paid woz his share.

Why did he leave Apple ? He does not need to be the super frontman. But we need this guys in the back of the business. Please Woz.

Woz made the computer. Jobs sold the computer to the masses. Both are equally important to the rise of the computer.

K, so how come Wozniak isn’t employed as an engineer? Actions speak louder than words.
Zach Morley 1 month ago
Apple would not have become the innovative corporation it is without Jobs’s ruthless perfectionism and ambition. No ambition, no ruthlessness, no money, no innovation, no iphone. Woz is a great guy, but simply inventing tools is not enough to change the world with them.

I remember reading that for a time back in the eighties most of the Apples were running CPM operating systems instead of Apple DOS. The beginning of things is rarely (never?) like the end. Part of the brilliance of the early Apples was the availability of slots that would accept CPM cards, accelerator cards, graphics cards, etc. I think we even bought some kind of card to put in our Apple IIe. The IIe is in a back room closet but I'm too lazy to go back there and check about the card. Hey, maybe our IIe will be worth big bucks some day.. in a hundred years?
nemo227 1 month ago
+The Fandom Menace Exactly right; our IIe never ran CPM. We were happy with the Apple DOS and loved AppleWorks. Our Osborne ran CPM and I used SuperCalc on it. I was happy with both systems.
The Fandom Menace 1 month ago
Apple II couldn't actually run CP/M, you had to buy a Z-80 Softcard from Microsoft. Supposedly it was the best-selling CP/M system for a while but it was only a fraction of the number of Apple IIs sold, most ran AppleSoft DOS.

Woz DID revolutionised the entire computer market with a computer on a single circuit board, the miniaturization is AMAZING! That was never seen before! He CREATED apple, he was a great orchestra player, steve jobs was the conducter, he saw what Woz was capable of and he steered him in the right direction, and the apple 2 was HUGE! This was Woz's child! This guy is amazing, i like steve jobs but this man deserves more respect than he is getting! This man IS the man behind apple! Hope he will live a happy healthy long life!

It still amazes me how Apple 2 was pirated and copied in 1981 in Bulgaria, in no time. Probably some high level order from the dear leader. lol If you google Pravetz 82 , it was probably the most advanced personal computer in the Eastern block, but it was actually a copycat of Apple II :)

To this day I can't understand how a then 26 year old accumulated all the knowledge to put your own computer together. Where did that knowledge come from? Even today you'd find it difficult to find books and other resources that tell you what you need to know. I'd like to know, but I don't even know where to start.

This man’s passion never dies. Steve Jobs is an inspiration to me and when I say that, people tend to tell me, “Woz did it all.” Well, he didn’t do it all, but he was the artist. He gets as much respect as Jobs in my book. If I understood computers better, I’d probably praise Woz more than Jobs.
